Having established the modern-day identity of God’s chosen people, the whole House of Israel, and having traced the movement of David’s throne from Jerusalem to London, we must now go back in history to the first coming of Shiloh or the Messiah, even the Lord Jesus Christ, and again take up the thread of Esau’s history.

Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary, herself being a descendant of King David, not through Solomon, but of another of his sons, Nathan (Luke 3:31). His birth was accompanied by a great star in the east, the peculiar heraldry of the eternal king of Israel.

At this time a dramatic demonstration of Esau’s unending hatred of his brother again occurred. On being asked by the wise men from the East, " Where is he that born King of the Jews?" Herod, the Idumean (Edomite) king of Judea, sought to destroy the baby Jesus. Had he succeeded, God’s plan of reconciliation of Adam’s fallen race would have been completely destroyed. It follows then that down through history, not only did Esau demonstrate vicious animosity towards Israel, but also he was found to be in conflict with God Himself. Accordingly we must now determine the relationship, if any, between the seed of Esau and that of Satan, for we note again the curse of God upon the latter: "And I will put enmity between thee (Satan) and the woman (Eve), and between thy seed and her seed, it (the Lord Jesus Christ) shall bruise thy head, and thou (Satan) shalt bruise his heel" (Genesis 3:15).

The first obvious identification of Satan’s seed was, of course, king Herod himself. Historically he was known to be an Idumean (Greek for Edomite), i.e. a direct descendant of Esau: but the prophetic significance of his attempt to destroy Mary’s child is explained more fully in chapter 12 of the Book of Revelation, viz.:

1. In the symbolic language of the Book of Revelation, a woman appeared in this dispensation of time, i.e. God’s seventh day (epoch), clothed with sun, the moon under her feet and upon her head a crown of twelve stars. The twelve stars identify the woman as Eve’s daughter through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, i.e. the woman Israel.

2. Israel travailed to bring forth a Man child Who was destined to rule the whole earth with a rod of iron, i.e. the Lord Jesus Christ (see Psalm 2).

3. At this very time another sign appeared, even a great red dragon which stood before the woman with the intention of destroying her child at birth. This symbolic creature may be identified as the red Idumean Herod in that it had

(a) 7 heads,

(b) 10 horns, and

(c) 7 crowns on its heads.

Although we agree with the general view that this is a reference to Pagan Rome, a further 'local' refinement of this data is that it could also relate to Herod himself: there were seven Herods in that dynasty (it was its first king, Herod the Great, who sought to slay the baby Jesus), there were ten states in his kingdom, and he built fortresses upon seven high hills throughout his domain.

The Lord Jesus Christ indicated the error of certain groups of people claiming to be God’s chosen people, when in fact they were nothing of the kind, "I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are of the synagogue of Satan."

We must once again go back into the Old Testament to determine the origin of these "false" Jews. Following King Nebuchadnezzar’s second raid on Jerusalem, in which he removed the elite of the city’s inhabitants including king Coniah, God gave the prophet Jeremiah a particularly significant vision relating to the future of Jewry. He saw two baskets of figs; the first of very good fruit, and the other of "very naughty figs", so bad that they could not be eaten. The meaning of this vision was revealed by God to Jeremiah as follows:

1. The good fruit represented those taken to Babylon at that time, and

2.  The naughty figs represented the residue of the House of Judah who had been left in and about Jerusalem and were ruled by the newly appointed king Zedekiah. There they lived and schemed for another eleven years, at which time, because of their rebellion against their Babylonian over-lords, the city was razed to the ground and most of those who survived were removed to Babylon. The interpretation of this historically important vision is summarised in Table 13. as follows:

ORIGIN OF THE SO-CALLED "JEWISH QUESTION"

It should be noted that here is the origin of the so-called "Jewish Question". At this time, the Lord God of Israel made a further separation within the tiny residue of the House of Judah remaining in Jerusalem at the time when Zedekiah was made king by Nebuchadnezzar. This lawless part of Israel continually rejected God’s advice and admonition (see the Book of Jeremiah) with the result that they finally underwent one of the most terrible sieges in history, during which curses detailed in Deuteronomy 28 fell upon those wretched people. Also while in captivity in Babylon and afterwards they were not careful to remain separate as required by God’s law (e.g. Ezra 9:1-2, Isaiah 3:9).

In the period between the writing of the last book of the Old Testament and birth of Jesus, the remnant of the Southern Kingdom that returned to rebuild Jerusalem conquered Idumea (Edom) and absorbed Esau’s seed into their own society and religious practices. Thus these "naughty figs" further polluted themselves and their fellow "good figs" by embracing the ways of Esau even though the last of the prophets of Israel had said, "I have loved you, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob and I hated Esau... " (Malachi 1:2).

In the course of His ministry, Jesus had a very revealing conversation with some Jews who were inclined to accept His teaching as the truth. Although their conversational exchanges started off amiably enough, it was not long before the basic rebellious nature of these Idumean Jews became evident. After claiming to be Abraham’s seed, a point not contested by Jesus, they went on to claim that they were never under bondage to any man (Israel of course had been in bondage to Pharaoh, King of Egypt), although of course, at that very time they were under the heel of Rome. It was this inherently rebellious attitude that caused firstly the wrath of King Nebuchadnezzar and later, that of imperial Rome to fall on Jerusalem and its unfortunate citizens. Not only did these Jews claim to be Abraham’s seed, but also the offspring of God, i.e. God’s "Chosen People". The Lord Jesus Christ then rather forcibly pointed out that if they were of God they would love Him, when in fact, they sought to murder Him.

The Lord then went on to say,

1. The father of these Idumean Jews was the devil (i.e. Satan).

2. They too would carry out the desires and purposed of Satan.

3. Satan was a murderer from the beginning.

4. Satan is the father of lies.

These attributes of Satan were clearly demonstrated in his dealings with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3: 1-5).

Some time later, the Lord Jesus Christ actually highlighted this Idumean threat to God’s salvation plan in one of His parables, i.e. the Parable of the Vineyard. In this story, those listening were told:

1. A man (i.e. typifying God) planted a model vineyard (God’s kingdom which in old Testament times was Israel) and left it in the care of overseers (in Jesus' time, the religious rulers).

2. From time to time this "man" sent his servants (i.e. prophets) that they might receive of its fruit (love, praise and willing obedience to God’s revealed law), but these prophets were rejected, ill-treated and in some instances done to death.

3. At this stage this extremely long-suffering "man" sent his only son saying, "They will respect my son (Jesus Christ). However, the "husbandmen" (i.e. religious leaders) said to themselves, "This is the heir (i.e. seed of Abraham through whom God would bless all nations);

come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours".

Here we see that the age-long intention of Esau’s seed to snatch back the Abrahamic birthright from Israel has never weakened. With the absorption of the Idumean (Edomite) people into Jewish society, the way was prepared for Esau’s concepts to become dominant among the leaders of the people. By killing the rightful heir to Jacob’s birthright promise, Esau’s seed would then presume to seize it just as effectively as if Esau had indeed actually slain his brother. In fact this seed of Satan did, by proxy, kill the rightful heir; but the national promises were safely "planted" beyond their reach.

Eve’s seed did in fact bruise (destroy the power of) Esau’s father’ head (Satan) by His resurrection and subsequent outpouring of the Holy Spirit (see 1 John 3:8).

In concluding His parable, the Lord Jesus told these malicious men (the Chief Priest, scribes and elders) that God would destroy them as a representative part of Israel, and the vineyard (God’s Kingdom) would be given to others (i.e. the Spirit-filled Church).

As foretold by the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:1-2), Jerusalem was once again destroyed, this time by the Roman armies under Titus in A.D.70. Once again a rebellious minority brought incredible suffering on the oppressed majority. Josephus the historian, in his War of the Jews, gives an eyewitness account of the terrors that came upon that benighted city. Following the total destruction of Jerusalem, the survivors were scattered to the four corners of the globe.

and treated as Jeremiah had prophesied

would be the lot of the naughty figs. These Idumean Jews or "naughty figs" were to become a problem to all peoples that harboured them (Jeremiah 24:9).

We will consider yet one more passage in God’s Word as this too throws further light on Esau’s part in modern history. A careful comparison of Isaac’s blessing of Esau with that of Jacob reveals that the former is entirely natural (i.e. materialistic), God’s Name is not invoked at any stage,

whereas in the latter, God Himself directly intervenes in Jacob’s (supernatural) blessing. In particular, we will again note that Isaac prophesied that, "Esau shall live by the sword" (Genesis 27:40).

Although we agree with the general view that the four horseman of the apocalypse relate to the pagan Roman empire at its height and during its decline; there is a view that these four horseman could also symbolise the four paths of life open to Adam’s descendants. According to this view Esau’s way is identified by:

1. The horse was red ( the distinctive heraldic identification of Esau).

This word (Greek - purros- red) appears twice in the New Testament; the other occurrence, as already mentioned above, being in Revelation 12:3. In this earlier reference, this colour was applied to Herod the Great, the Idumean king of Jewry at the time of Jesus’ birth.

2. This red horse was introduced to the reader by the second great creature stationed at the throne of God, i.e. he who had the face of a calf (see Revelation 4:6-8). If the above understanding is accepted, then it becomes clear the calf prophetically symbolises mankind’s alternative religion:

(a) Following Israel’s deliverance out of Egypt, Moses led the people to the foot of Mount Sinai where God manifested himself as a supernatural fire on the mountain and by His voice which was heard by all present. Nevertheless, even though the people had said, "All that the Lord hath spoken we will do (Exodus 19:8)", yet within forty days and in the very presence of His glory, the people prevailed upon Aaron the high priest to fashion a golden calf and they proclaimed that, "These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt" (Exodus 32:4).

This event dramatically illustrates the incomparable stupidity of the mind of mankind in its approaches to the concepts of Almighty God. Two months after their miraculous exodus from Egypt, the people saw Aaron actually make their new god from the jewellery that they had been wearing the day before; and yet with the supernatural glory of the Lord God visible above their heads, they were prepared to accept as fundamental truth the proclamation - "These be thy gods, O Israel. which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt." The mind of man has not changed.

(b) As previously mentioned, after the division of the Kingdom of Israel following King Solomon’s death Jeroboam became king of the Northern Kingdom. In order to secure his throne against a possible rapprochement with the House of David, he sought to deter his subjects from going down to Jerusalem to worship the God of Israel by introducing an alternative religion. This he did by setting up two golden calves, one in Dan and the other at Bethel, the very place where God had revealed himself to Jacob in the vision of a ladder up into heaven; and where, on awaking, he was moved to say, "Surely the Lord was in this place; and I knew it not" (Genesis 28:11-16).

3. The rider that sat on the red horse would cause peace to cease over the whole earth.

4. Following destabilisation of world peace, those responsible would, when expedient, kill each other.

5. A great sword was given unto the red horseman,

i.e. war follows if humanity pursues after this horse. One meaning of the Greek word here translated sword is "dagger or assassin’s weapon." Treachery is the hallmark of the way of the red horseman.

We must now pass on to the millennium following that in which God gathered His chosen people together into the new home promised to King David so many years before. With the coming of the Renaissance certain aspects of German philosophy were converted into a terrifying alternative religion, i.e. Socialism.

[A.D. 1748] THE BIRTH OF SOCIALISM

On the first day in February, 1748, the German Idumean Jew Adam Weishaupt was born. He was responsible for the founding of a secret society, known to its initiates as "The Illuminati" and although its membership was never large, a number of very influential people, particularly in France and Germany, became involved through its insidious infiltration of secretive groups of those and other European (as distinct from the British) nations. To new recruits or those loosely attached, this society appeared to be anything but subversive, but its aims were very much so:

1. Abolition of monarchy and all ordered government.

2. Abolition of private property.

3. Abolition of inheritance.

4. Abolition of patriotism.

5.Abolition of the family (i.e. marriage and all morality) and the institution of communal education.

6. Abolition of all religion.

It is not known whether these ideas were entirely those of Weishaupt, but he was extremely successful in inculcating them into the minds of many of his politically active contemporaries, especially in France. From its very inception socialism was atheistic, and materialism or naturalism was deified. The first fruits of this alternative religion was the incredible carnage and butchery of the French Revolution.

A few of the maxims of this "new" way are listed here:

(a) Russou: Man is inherently good, it is his environment that turns him bad. This was further amplified at the time of the French Revolution to; "Man is not bad except as he is made so by arbitrary morality. He is bad because religion, the State and bad examples pervert him."

(b) Robespierre: The (French) revolution aims to put into the laws of the nation the moral truth culled from the works of the philosophers.

(c) natural reason was to be the final arbitrator of what was right and what was wrong

"The heart (mind) of man is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked." "For all have sinned (i.e. have broken God’s law and so become evil in His sight), and come short of the glory of God (i.e. have failed to meet the Creators’ required standard of behaviour)."

Although the French revolution began with "ostensibly" sane peace-loving men in charge, the masses were swung away by rabid oratory and grass-roots stirring, until the Jacobeans took over. During the terrible slaughter that followed, multitudes including the previous revolutionary leadership and the French royal family were killed. It should also be noted that the original revolutionary flag, the "Tricolour" was replaced at this time by a red flag.

This power-lusting coterie of bloody-minded men who brought "the terror" upon the suffering multitudes showed no compassion whatsoever; the masses were there to be used solely for the fulfilment of their own philosophical theories. The French Revolution eventually plunged Europe into the most devastating war up to that time in history.

The socialist philosophy of the French Revolution was further "refined" by another Idumean Jew, Karl Marx:

1. "As technology and knowledge increase, so will the lot of man improve."

2. "Religion if the opiate of the people."

3. "The ultimate end of socialism is communism."

The Russian Revolution followed a path closely parallel with that of its French counterpart. This is not really surprising in that the motives and purposes of those leading this frightful disaster turned out to be the same in each case: the eventual destruction of Israel, the Davidic Throne and recovery of the birthright by Esau. In the case of the Bolshevik revolution, the hand of Esau’s seed, i.e. the Idumean Jew is plainly evident:

"The symbol of (Idumean) Jewry, which has for centuries struggled against capitalism, has become also the symbol of the Russian proletariat, which can be seen even in the fact of the adoption of the red five-pointed star, which in former times, as is well known, was the symbol of Zionism and Jewry." (Mr. C. Cohan, "The Communist" (newspaper) published in Kharkoff, 12/4/1919).

3. The heraldry of Russia is red.

(a) Communism itself is portrayed as red!

(b) The flag is red!

(c) The star is red!

(d) The Russian bear is red! and (hairy!)

(e) The army is red!

(f) The central square in Moscow is Red Square!

4. During the 1939 - 45 World War when the German war machine under Adolf Hitler invaded the United Soviet Socialist Republic, eleven sovietised states made up the union.

5. At the end of that war, the three allied powers, Great Britain, the United States of America and Russia were the unchallenged masters, militarily speaking over the whole earth, and a lasting peace was within their grasp. Yet even at that time Stalin and his henchmen were plotting to subvert the very nations that saved him and his people from destruction at the hands of Nazi Germany. This same leadership and its successors have made it their business to stir up antagonism between and within nations, engender violence, revolution and treachery between peoples with the result that peace on earth is beyond the grasp of mankind without the intervention of Almighty God.

6. The iron grip that Idumean Jewry (it should be noted that members of the Communist Party are atheists, something a true Jew could never accept) have achieved over the unfortunate Russian nation (largely Japhetic in origin) in 1917 has never been relaxed. In 1983, for example

(a) 14 of the 23 Politburo members were Idumean Jews.

(b) 90% of Russian diplomats were Idumean Jews.

(c) The majority of the senior officers in the Red army have been Idumean Jews.

(d) The men in charge of the Russian secret police have all been Idumean Jews.

Esau’s seed has been scattered over the whole earth and has no national home. These people have largely taken refuge among Jewry and thereby hide under the fallacious title of God’s Chosen People.

Modern Jewry consists of

(1) About 80% of converts of Judaism. These people have no claim whatsoever of God’s unconditional promises to Abraham , as these only apply to the descendants of Jacob.

(2) About 10% have Esau as their progenitor. These have become totally integrated into and largely dominate modern Jewry.

(3) A small percentage stem from Jacob and so, it might seem, have a right to claim that they are in fact descendants of  "God’s Chosen People" and so do indeed inherit the birthright promises of Israel.

The verdict of history, however, is that these Jews are the naughty figs of Jeremiah’s vision (Jeremiah 24:1-10). This particular residue of Israel has continually rebelled against God’s Word, and was content to go along with the Idumean element in murdering the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son and their rightful King. Today they are still content, with some misgivings perhaps, to support the Idumean Zionist movement, which once again has demonstrated the curse that the "naughty figs" brings upon those people among whom they dwell,

in this case the  Arab population of Palestine. It could well be that these ruthless men will bring incredible suffering upon themselves and their fellow travellers before again being ejected from Canaan.

Idumean Jewry (Esau’s seed) is still seeking to destroy descendants of his brother Jacob

1. By obtaining totalitarian power over the great Russian nation, thereby establishing a base for military bullying of the rest of the world.

2. By actively encouraging the establishing of communist or other revolutionary parties to subvert the established moral and social culture of the nations not under their heel.

3. By controlling world finance to bring nations to such economic misery that violent revolution can be presented as a reasonable alternative.

These principles in part are clearly demonstrated in a report to the U.S. Congress in the 1960s on the objectives of the Communist Party in the U.S.A. (C. Skouser, Field Director, American Security Council as filed in the U.S. Congressional Record):

1. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, cinema, radio and TV.

2. Eliminate laws on obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and a free press.

3. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV and cinema.

4. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

5. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to the suppressive influence of parents.

6. Promote all forms of promiscuity and deviance as normal, natural and healthy.

7. Discredit culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. Eliminate all good culture from parks and public buildings and substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.

8. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch".

9. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression from schools.

10. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioural problems as psychiatric disorders which only psychiatrists can understand and treat.

11. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the country’s tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use force to solve economic, political and social problems.

12. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self- government.

These objectives appear "surprisingly" similar to the goals of the Illuminati secret society as previously listed. Those of older years may well be amazed at how quickly the traditions of their fathers have been replaced by this "new" way.
