I was caught up in drugs, smoking and hard drugs. I had a few illnesses like severe back pain, endometriosis, penicillin allergy and migraine. My brother told me to ask God to help me, which I did. The next day, I jumped off hard drugs and saw that God gave me the strength to do that so I gave up other drugs, and smoking. I had no withdrawal symptoms. Within a month I had given up all drugs.

A neighbour invited me to bonfire night and I could see the joy all the people had, and I wanted in my life. I went to a Sunday meeting and was focussed on the baptism tank because that's what I felt I was there for. I was baptised by full immersion, and received the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues.

My life turned completely around and I was healed of all my illnesses. I can certainly praise the Lord. Now I am happy with my life and I wait for His return.

My God did that !

I was eighteen when I first heard about receiving the Holy Spirit. Prior to that I thought that church was boring and wasn't my scene. My life revolved around drugs and alcohol, and my idea of God was something up in the clouds that I didn't know on a personal level. I was engaged to my now husband who was in the same scene as I.

Then one day I was shown from the Bible that I could have a personal experience with God as they did on the Day of Pentecost, when they were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in other tongues. I heard of people's lives being healed from incurable diseases and decided to try it out for my self.

I was baptised by full immersion and three weeks later received the Holy Spirit. This has been the greatest thing in my life. My desire to smoke and drink left me and all I wanted to do was the Lord's will. I use to wonder where I was going but now I have a purpose and a direction in my life. I was convinced that the Lord was returning soon and that I needed to repent from my old ways, and obey His Word in order to be saved.

After twelve years walking with the Lord I have seen two of my three children receive the Holy Spirit. The Lord has provided all my needs and I have peace and contentment in my life. Praise the Lord for delivering me.
