I had a traditional religious upbringing, but as
I grew older I did not see any need to continue attending the
services because there was nothing there of relevance to me.
Over the next ten years I developed a `belief´ in God based
on my own ideas. When I was twenty-five I was challenged directly
from the Word of God when I was asked the following three questions:
1. Do you believe in God? Answer Yes.
2. Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed? Answer
Yes.
3. How do you know? Answer (after deliberation)
I don't
know, I guess just because I believe in Him.
I was then shown in the Bible how people received the Holy Spirit
and spoke in tongues. After months of arguing, I decided to give
God a chance to prove Himself to me, His way.
After going to a meeting, I went into a room, and prayed to God
out aloud for His Holy Spirit. Very soon my English prayer changed,
and I began to speak in other tongues, a spiritual prayer language
to God. I was baptised by full immersion in obedience to God's
Word.
I am now married to a Spirit-filled partner, and have been blessed
recently with the birth of our first child. I can certainly testify
to the power and grace of God in my life over the past twelve
years, and thank Him for bringing me into a fellowship that preaches
His Word faithfully and accurately.

Dianne Burrows
Hi! My name is Dianne Burrows. I was brought up in Tamworth on
a wheat and sheep property in the 1950's. I always believed that
there must be a God as I could see God in nature on our property.
Many years passed and in the 1960's while working as a nurse at
a hospital in Melbourne found the truth about God. Two of my friends
who also were nurses asked me to come to a meeting in a theatre.
I thought I was going to a live musical or something like that,
but it turned out to be a Gospel meeting with happy people singing
and clapping ~ something my church (one of the mainstream religions)
did not do; especially reading from the Bible for the talk. I
was a bit worried about speaking in tongues as I had not heard
of that, but later the Pastor showed me in the Bible where they
spoke in tongues on the day of Pentecost.
The next week I was baptised by full immersion ~ not sprinkling
as I had been as a baby, and I was filled with the Holy Spirit
with the evidence of speaking in other tongues (a prayer language
that the Lord gives you) which I had never learned. I knew I had
found the truth. I had always wondered why my church did not baptise
people as Jesus was baptised in the River Jordon.
That was 32 years ago and I am still happy and walking with the
Lord. I have married and have a Spirit-filled husband, and my
teenaged children have all been baptised and Spirit-filled when
they were younger. I am so happy to have the Lord to lean on and
to know that He is in all our lives. I look forward to His coming
again.

I first heard the true Gospel preached late in 1978. At the time
I felt sorry for the people telling me as I thought that anyone
believing in God must have needed a crutch to lean on.
Through a number of coincidences I ended up living in the same
street as the person who had witnessed to me and consequently
I was witnessed to quite a few times over a two or three month
period.
In early 1979 I attended my first Revival Centres International
meeting, to say I was paranoid would describe the way I felt,
however during the following days a belief in God came into my
life, which I had not experienced until then. I attended more
meetings and was baptised and spoke in tongues. This was a great
time of joy and refreshing in my life, with things like smoking,
drinking and drugging leaving me never to return.
To say my life has been blessed since coming to God is an understatement.
If I had written down how I would have my life turn out it would
not be as good as the Lord has done for my self and my family.
It is coming up to 21 years of fellowship in Revival Centres International
and I can honestly say I am as excited about the message, the
fellowship and my own personal walk as I was 21 years ago. Praise
the Lord I look forward to the next 21 years.
